In Chapter 9, Anna, Brooke, and I had to find out if Fowler High School students spent more or less time on Facebook than the worldwide average which was 20 minuets each day. The sample mean of the random sample of the 30 students we asked was 15.5 minuets a day. We found our null and alternate hypothesis and then we used the t-distribution to find out our Z score. We rejected our null hypothesis because the interval we calculated was less than .05. So this tells us that Fowler High School students spend less time on Facebook than the worldwide average.
